Plant Swap Postponed to October 5 10:00 to Noon at Dundee 4 Corners

OUR PLANT SWAP IS POSTPONED!  We recently learned from Cornell Cooperative Extension Yates County that a new invasive worm called a jumping worm has been found in Yates County. Please read these flyers.  Because of this, we will hold our plant and seed swap OCTOBER 5, 2024 FROM 10:00 TO NOON AT THE DUNDEE FOUR CORNERS  instead of May 11. In May, jumping worms are still in cocoons the size of a poppy seed.  In October, if you have them in your soil, you will be able to see them if you are  digging in your garden.  The flyers explain how to get rid of them safely.

Hello! We had some questions about the recipe booklets included in members'  bags at our first distribution in July.  These were provided courtesy of Cornell Cooperative Extension -  Yates County, who collaborates with SNAP-ED to provide healthy recipes to folks in our community. We committed  to provide these recipes to our members  in the grant written to The Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority, which  funded our Free Produce Program. CCE Yates picked recipes that use some of the produce in members' bags.
